Terminal 1, Pier A
enstruct have been engaged to undertake structural engineering design services for the Northern Expansion of the International Terminal at Sydney Airport.
The expansion allows for additional aircraft bays along a new Pier A structure and a commercial tower to the rear of the pier. The project involves significant re-working of the existing ground plane and aircraft aprons. Staging of works is critical to the project to minimise aircraft bay closures and to avoid impacting airport operations overall.
In addition to the new floor areas, a significant portion of the structural works will be focused on the alterations to the existing terminal structures.
