enstruct have been engaged to provide structural engineering services for major upgrade works to this residential aged care facility in Gordon.
The proposed works include demolition of non-heritage buildings and infrastructure, construction of an over 100 bed facility and 40 new retirement living units over multiple buildings, and refurbishment & extension works to multiple existing heritage buildings.
The buildings across the site range in height from three to four stories with the primary structural system consisting of AFS load bearing walls and reinforced concrete slabs, with a post tensioned transfer podium slab above the car parking level.
