T1 Southern Baggage Room

Client: SACL
Architect: Scott Carver
Status: Design Complete

enstruct have been engaged to undertake structural engineering services for the southern expansion of the existing International Terminal at Sydney Airport. The centrepiece of the expansion is a purpose-built Baggage Handling Facility adjacent to Pier C in the Southern Precinct.  The expansion allows for additional capacity to handle an increase in baggage volume and future development as part of the masterplan.

The facility will consist of a new Southern Baggage Room and Commercial Tower over, and expansion of the passenger terminal areas at the end of the existing International Terminal C. The project also includes modifications to the existing Arrivals Road, loading dock, security gate, and extensive structural works at the existing terminal to accommodate an expansion of the floor space.
