In the spirit of reconciliation, enstruct acknowledges the Traditional Custodians across all of the lands on which we work and their connections to the land, sea and community. We pay our respect to Elders past and present and extend that respect to all First Nations peoples today.
The Ivanhoe project is part the NSW Government's pioneer Communities Plus project redevelopment of an existing public housing estate in Sydney's Macquarie Park. It will deliver a mixed-use community with more than 3,500 dwellings and offers substantial social housing.
enstruct has been commissioned to undertake structural engineering services for Building A1 with Bates Smart architects, a 24 Level, 276 dwelling market residential building with a childcare facility and 4 levels of basement carparking and Building C1 with Candalepas architects a 19 level, mixed social housing and market housing development with ground floor retail.
The structural design couples together a slim jumpformed lift core with outrigger walls to perimeter columns to maximise bending stiffness with minimal additional structure. The curved shape of the building is realised with in-situ post-tensioned concrete floorplates, while the columns utilise high strength concrete to best align with architectural planning.
