Terminal 1, Pier B

Client: SACL
Architect: Woods Bagot
Status: Complete

Pier B is part of the original Sydney International Airport constructed in the late 1960's. The pier underwent an extensive refurbishment on the Departures Level, improving the gate lounge areas and passenger experience. The project included two extensions to the existing building to increase the area for passenger gate boarding lounges and to improve way finding and passenger circulation through the pier. This extension required close coordination with the airside requirements as well as the project team aspirations. The project also included extensive works to upgrade the facades and additional plant decks to support services for the new extensions.
