Terminal 1, Pier C

Client: SACL
Architect: Woods Bagot
Status: Complete

Pier C is the work-hoarse of Sydney International Airport, handling the majority of passenger movements through the terminal. The pier is underwent an extensive refurbishment on the Departures Level, improving passenger experience and upgraded retail outlets and amenities facilities. The work included the relocation of stair and services shafts to improve site lines to gates, and new services bulkheads and façade glazing to open new views and improve natural light. The project also included an extension of the pier towards the south increasing the area for passenger gate boarding areas and Lounge facilities above. This extension required close coordination with the airside requirements as well as the project team aspirations.
