60 Martin Place

Client: Investa Office / Gwynvill
Architect: Hassell
Status: Complete

Situated at one of the most prominent commercial office addresses in Australia the existing building 1970's building was demolished to make way for a contemporary new office building in the heart of the Sydney CBD. The new building was designed to respect the character of Martin Place and the adjacent St Stephen's Church with a sandstone clad low scale podium with a modern commercial tower above. The curved northern face of the tower addresses St Stephen's Church and allows for the commercial floor plate in the upper levels to extend out above the church and spire and becoming a prominent feature in the Sydney skyline. The 32 storey development provides in excess of 40,000smq of net lettable area with the podium and roof spaces providing opportunities for public spaces to enhance and activate Martin Place both during and after normal business hours.
