Croydon Station
enstruct were engaged by Principal Contractor John Holland Group to provide civil and structural engineering services at Croydon Station as part of the TfNSW Transport Access Program.
The works at this station included installation of new lift and stair structure, platform regrading works, and new platform canopies, enhancements to interchange facilities with a new footbridge and booking office.
A key feature of this project was the predominant use of prefabricated structural elements driven by the short construction periods during track possessions. This has resulted in stair and lift structures designed a single structural components which can be delivered to site and lifted into place to meet the challenging delivery program.
