The completion of the new Kempsey Bypass has opened up a corridor of land along the Macleay Valley Way for development. As part of this urban development a private client proposed to develop one of the lots with a service station, truck stop and fast food outlet.
enstruct were engaged as the civil engineering consultants for the development. The site had challenging topographical constraints and was also impacted by a small lake which is a result of a convergence in two substantial overland flow paths. Works included earthworks design, stormwater drainage realignment, pavement design and the design of a new public roundabout access for the proposed development.
