100 Mount Street
This commercial office tower has 34 office levels, a roof top plant room and car parking over six levels of basement. The site has commanding views south towards the Sydney CBD and has set a new benchmark for Grade A office buildings in North Sydney. The typical floor plate, with an offset core and a large contiguous column free plan is consistent with contemporary office design. The tower columns are set back from the facade by up to six metres on the southern and northern facades - adding to the transparency of these surfaces. This arrangement is also structurally very efficient, with the cantilevering end span at the facade balancing the longer internal span. The typical band beam has a depth of 550mm with the building achieving a 3.75 metre floor to floor, providing only 2 columns across the almost 30m wide building.
