AWD Defence Force
The Air Warfare Destroyer and Landing Helicopter Dock project is one of the largest Defence projects ever undertaken in Australia. Enstruct was awarded the project to deliver the structural design of various training facilities across three diverse sites across Sydney by the Departments managing contractor, Baulderstone. enstruct tailored its deliverables to meet the exacting standards required by the department of Defence. This included the completion of design reports and presentations to the appropriate defence personnel and the production of all design documents. BIM was also instrumental in the delivery of these complex structures with fully clash free models a project requirement at the completion of the design phase. This requirement significantly accelerated the construction program when the project reached site.
