Hornsby Mental Health
Creation of a purpose built facility for Acute Adult and Child and Adolescent Mental Health patients. This has been achieved by constructing a new 35 bed Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit and a 12 bed Child and Adolescent unit. The project fills a deficit in Health Infrastructure's services in the Hornsby area and now plays a critical role in servicing this much needed area. enstruct's role covered a range of services including the design and detailing of all floor plates, civil design of the new on grade car parks and the works involved in decanting. The project was taken from DA, through concept and then onto construction phase services. The two storey building has a suspended reinforced ground floor and a post-tensioned first floor. The roof structure is lightweight steel and the project was delivered utilising BIM across the whole consultant team.
