The College of Fine Arts
The College of Fine Arts (COFA) is one of Australia's premier art and design institutions. The redevelopment of the campus includes the provision of a world class gallery which will provide a venue for contemporary exhibitions of national and international art and the University's permanent collection. The project also repositions COFA for the digital future by replacing static fixed classrooms with flexible, technology enhanced learning spaces. The result is over 12,000 sqm of new or refitted teaching space, a large experimentation / installation gallery and a dramatic new building facade. enstruct carried out all elements of structural design on the project from concept through to construction working closely with Architectus to maximise the flexibility and amenity of the gallery and teaching spaces.
