In the spirit of reconciliation, enstruct acknowledges the Traditional Custodians across all of the lands on which we work and their connections to the land, sea and community. We pay our respect to Elders past and present and extend that respect to all First Nations peoples today.
This stockland development in Penrith is located adjacent a number of heavy industries, and council required that noise attenuation be installed to reduce noise within the development to acceptable levels. The attenuation was achieved using a system of freestanding acoustic walls, as well as the rear walls of the housing units being acoustically rated. enstruct provided structural design services on the project up to tender stage. An interesting feature of the project was the noise barrier adjacent the existing road bridge, which spanned over 50m across an existing waterway while providing about 9m height of noise attenuation.
