Port Macquarie Hospital
The expansions works at Port Macquarie Base Hospital involve the construction of a new four storey clinical facility at the northern end of the hospital. The new clinical building provides for an expanded emergency department, additional medical and surgical inpatient beds, reconfigured and expanded operating theatres, new Critical Care Unit and a cardiac catheterisation laboratory. In addition to these works in excess of 200 additional car spaces are being provided to ease congestion in the existing car park. enstruct was engaged at the planning phase with services continued through to construction documentation and delivery of the works. enstruct's approach to floor plate design, vibration in particular, on this project has been adopted by HI across all current projects.
