Gowings / State Theatre
Amalgamated Holdings Limited (AHL) have been the long term owner and occupier of the State Theatre building and in 2006 acquired the adjacent Gowings Building. Both buildings have significant heritage value. The redevelopment work transformed the buildings into a 200 room boutique hotel with hotel rooms occupying the upper floors of the buildings, lobby, restaurant and bar areas at the lower levels, and the lower level retail areas of the Gowings Building maintained. Enstruct was engaged at the schematic design phase of the project which continued through the duration of the works culminating in provision of construction documentation and supervision.
