In the spirit of reconciliation, enstruct acknowledges the Traditional Custodians across all of the lands on which we work and their connections to the land, sea and community. We pay our respect to Elders past and present and extend that respect to all First Nations peoples today.
The new facility for the Skin and Cancer Foundation Australia involved modification and refurbishment of the old Hard Rock Café into a 3 storey medical facility with a NSW Health licensed Day Surgery, specialist clinics, laser therapy suites, consulting suites, offices, a pathology laboratory and also the provision of retail outlets on the ground floor. enstruct's engagement commenced during the feasibility phase of the project prior to purchase of the site and has continued right through to construction documentation and supervision. Given the re-use of an existing building, the project involved a number of engineering challenges to provide a new level to a portion of the site over an existing building, and strengthening works to ensure compliance with current structural code requirements, in particular earthquake loading and detailing.
