QT Gold Coast
Amalgamated Holdings Limited (AHL) undertook a significant refurbishment of the old Rydges Gold Coast International Hotel and re-launched it in 2011 as QT Gold Coast, the first of the QT brand. QT is a new quirky designer hotel brand with its flagship hotel, QT Sydney located in the old Gowings and State Theatre buildings, a major refurbishment on which enstruct were also engaged. enstruct provided structural engineering services on the QT Gold Coast throughout the duration of the project. The work involved significant structural alterations, including the removal and relocation of existing concrete columns, the construction of new interfloor feature stairs, as well as the erection of new plant and ancillary spaces.
