In the spirit of reconciliation, enstruct acknowledges the Traditional Custodians across all of the lands on which we work and their connections to the land, sea and community. We pay our respect to Elders past and present and extend that respect to all First Nations peoples today.
The refurbishment of The Law Society of New South Wales' Headquarters building at 170 Philip Street involved the upgrade of their 14 storey office building to ensure that it complied with the Building Code of Australia with regard to fire and other essential services. The project also involved the refurbishment and fit-out of the entire building, relocation of their library and the construction of a new interfloor stair between level 2 and 3. enstruct provided structural engineering services from DA through to Practical Completion. The complexity of the project lay in the fact that the building had to remain live for the activities on the Law Society throughout the construction phase, with very restricted access from the frontage on 170 Phillip Street.
