The architects were given a clear direction from their client that their new office fitout should reflect their business. The client, Carnivale Australia, are in the business of cruise ships and the central theme of the fitout was to follow this tune. As enstruct had recently completed the design and construction phase for the base building, we were perfectly placed to assist the client in achieving their desires. The internal staircase joining three floors was designed to cantilever from each floor so that no support was required at the mid floor landing. The choice of a solid upstand to the edges of the stair allowed the structural stringer truss to be hidden, while the additional depth allowed for efficient use of materials.
