iC Enterprise 1, UOW
The Innovation Campus Enterprise 1 building is a 10,000sqm commercial office facility on the University of Wollongong's Innovation Campus. The building provides two rectangular floor plates per floor, with a central atrium providing for organisations involved in a range of research, development and commercial activities while integrating workplace and educational environments with social, retail, service and recreational facilities in a landscaped campus setting. enstruct's commission for the project commenced with participation in the design competition for the facility with Bates Smart and continuing through to construction and delivery of the building. The lateral system for the building is a sway frame structure ensuring limited structural walls on the floor, providing maximum flexibility for tenants and size of individual tenancies.
