Laing O'Rourke invited enstruct to assist with their bid for the proposed 44 storey office tower. enstruct assessed the tender structural design, reviewing reinforcement ratios, concrete strengths and dimensions. enstruct proposed alternate structural systems for two key components, namely the building lateral structure and the typical floor. A lateral analysis of the building was carried out, utilising the building's southern core as the primary wind resisting structure. A wind tunnel study was carried out during the tender and demonstrated the capacity of the southern core and the opportunity to significantly compact the building's central core. This modified structural system delivered additional net lettable area in lieu of structural walls and was instrumental in Laing O'Rourke's successful bid.
