The New South Wales government offered the Shea's Creek Woolsheds and Q stores site for sale in 2005. This historically significant site bounded the eastern edge of the Alexandra Canal containing some 18 timber framed woolsheds and an 18,000 square metre Q store designed by architect Harry Seidler, and was zoned for industrial/mixed development. The proposed development of the site required retention of two woolsheds and the Q store, both of which required structural assessment and refurbishment. Schematic design for new office buildings along the canal were also developed, as well as a boardwalk along the length of the canal. The design was developed to a stage to allow the project business case to be proven and allow submission of a development application.
