In the spirit of reconciliation, enstruct acknowledges the Traditional Custodians across all of the lands on which we work and their connections to the land, sea and community. We pay our respect to Elders past and present and extend that respect to all First Nations peoples today.
The Commerce Department awarded the rights to design, build and manage the Parramatta Justice Precinct to Multiplex and its bid consortium, including enstruct. The redevelopment of this key site included a new children's court, trial court, attorney generals building, as well as the redevelopment of the existing Parramatta Hospital (Jeffery House). The site which fronts the Parramatta River covers an entire city block. The project provided a number of engineering challenges, including construction of a three level basement below the ground water table, extensive utilisation of load bearing precast concrete and structural upgrading of the hospital building. This work was carried out in parallel with an extensive site archaeological study and to a demanding programme.
