The Edge Cinema
Katoomba is a favourite tourist destination for both local and international tourists with its stunning scenery and access into the Australian bush. The Edge Cinema is a highly successful business leveraging off the popularity of the town and providing visitors with a graphic background and introduction into the Australian fauna and wildlife. The works provided three new cinemas and below grade car parking to the existing facility. The primary structural frame was reinforced concrete with precast wall elements and a steel framed roof. The exposed structural elements play a key role in the building's architecture.
