This building is located in great proximity to the Pacific Highway and St Leonards Railway Station making it a prime target for AGL's new Head Quarters. The large floor plates, of up to 1700sqm, and external terracing to the upper levels were an added bonus. A full upgrade of the mechanical plant was required to bring the building's services up to an A grade standard. This required significant new slab penetrations through the existing two-way flat slab. Detailed analysis of the existing structure detected several areas which were no longer up to code required standards, and strengthening using plates bolted to the slab soffit was required. A new entry awning and additional car park connection completed this transformation, reviving this valuable asset.
