Optus Headquarters
The development consists of 84,000 m2 of net lettable office space, parking for 2100 cars, retail areas, landscaped gardens, a child care centre and gymnasium. The floor plates were purpose built for Optus' 7000 staff who were being centralized from North Sydney and other offices throughout Sydney. This integrated fitout allowed the tenants requirements to be built into the structure from the beginning. This allowed heavy load areas, inter floor stairs and additional services risers to be built without the need for costly strengthening. The collaborative nature of the team including developer, tenant, builder and consultants enabled 150,000sqm of concrete deck to be constructed in nine months. The project was completed significantly ahead of schedule.
