Water Sensitive Urban Design
Water Sensitive Urban Design aims to protect and improve waterway health by incorporating processes into the stormwater drainage system which treat water quality in a manner that simulates the natural water cycle.
The integration of Water Sensitive Urban Design into a projects stormwater drainage solution not only improves the quality of water discharged from a development but also assists in obtaining green star points for the development.
Water Sensitive Urban Design can be achieved on projects in a wide variety of ways including bio-retention systems, gross pollutant traps, rainwater tanks, grassed swales and porous pavers.
enstruct's civil group has significant recent experience in designing Water Sensitive Urban Design applications on a number of projects ranging from hospital redevelopments to subdivision road design.
enstruct has also built close working relationships with water treatment device suppliers meaning that they are in a position to provide their clients with the most cost effective solutions to water treatment.
