In the spirit of reconciliation, enstruct acknowledges the Traditional Custodians across all of the lands on which we work and their connections to the land, sea and community. We pay our respect to Elders past and present and extend that respect to all First Nations peoples today.
The universities require undergraduate engineering students to complete a minimum of eight weeks external secondment with an approved relevant organization. enstruct has sponsored this programme for the past ten years and continues to use it as a principle avenue for recruitment.
The students spend a minimum of one day per week in the office or on site through the academic term and then full time through their vacation, for at least one year. Each student is assigned a senior staff mentor who is responsible for their induction, ' up skilling ' and ongoing activities. The student is treated as permanent staff participating in all aspects of the firm's professional and social activities.
The office typically has three undergraduates at any time, with five members of our permanent graduate staff having first joined as undergraduates under this progamme.
A similar arrangement is in place for drafters, who join as sponsored apprentices and attend their courses in parallel through to graduation, three of our current drafters joined in this manner.
All undergraduate applications should be addressed to HR via email to undergraduates@enstruct.com.au, and include a cover letter, brief resume and university transcript. All applications will be reviewed with a response email issued.
