In the spirit of reconciliation, enstruct acknowledges the Traditional Custodians across all of the lands on which we work and their connections to the land, sea and community. We pay our respect to Elders past and present and extend that respect to all First Nations peoples today.
The enstruct First Nations Engagement Strategy 2022-2024 will shape the way in which we work and build meaningful and impactful connections with First Nations communities. Our strategy has been developed to lay the foundations and improve the way we engage and create relationships and opportunities contributing to a sustainable and inclusive Australia.
Why is it important
The First Nations Engagement Strategy demonstrates our deep dedication to First Nations peoples and communities.
It will act as a roadmap that articulates how we plan to make positive change and become more culturally aware and supportive of the needs and aspirations of First Nations communities.
The actions have been tailored and are responsive to the needs of community in a bid to create economic prosperity, self-determination and empowerment, whilst also embedding culture throughout our organisation and beyond.
Developing the Engagement Strategy
We have worked in close consultation with Aboriginal Consultancy Ngurra Advisory to develop the First Nations Engagement Strategy.
Guidance and important input have been sought from First Nations peoples, communities and organisations as a part of the process.
We acknowledge and are appreciative of the support given from First Nations stakeholders who have contributed to the development of the First Nations Engagement Strategy.
Our Focus Areas
The First Nations Engagement strategy is guided by three focus areas:
To contribute to the focus areas, enstruct has identified specific actions in each area.
enstruct has committed to implement these actions over the next 2 years.
