Contractors

Contractors are ultimately responsible for the delivery of the project.

Having won a competitive tender, the contractor then assumes a high level of risk in delivering a project to time, budget and specification. In managing this process, the contractor works closely with the consulting team, fine tuning the design to achieve project program, construction methodology and material / labour availability.

Our commissions with contractors are often in the design and construction format, where projects with preliminary performance specifications are tendered, with the successful contractor responsible for completion of design and delivery.  Providing the projects are well briefed, this is a very successful delivery method, with consultant and contractor working together to achieve a seamless transition between design and delivery.
