1 Bligh, 50 Most Influential
1 Bligh Street has recently been named as one of the 50 most influential tall buildings of the last 50 years by Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.
Completed in 2011, enstruct led the structural engineering of this 30 storey landmark tower which set new benchmarks in terms of sustainable design in high rise concrete frame building construction.
The long span elliptical floor plate, offset core and use of sustainable materials ensured a challenging structural design. The project was also the first tall building in Australia to use a double-skin glass façade with external louvers, making it at the forefront of sustainable design.
