Wetherill Park Wins!
Stockland's Wetherill Park Shopping Centre has won the Best Sustainable Development and Best Shopping Centre Development at the 2018 Property Council of Australia / Rider Levnell Bucknell Innovation & Excellence Awards.
This award recognises Stockland's design and delivery of sustainable retail centres and practices to reduce their environmental footprint. The retail precinct has also been awarded the most green star rated shopping centre.
Completed in late 2015, the $228 million redevelopment of the retail complex included an 800 seat food court, doubling food and dining offerings and increasing retail space by 27%. The overall redevelopment resulted in more than 721,000 customer visits upon its reopening, over a 40% customer increase from the previous trading year.
