60 MP Planning Approvals

12.02.2016
Project: 60 Martin Place
Client: Investa Office / Gwynvill
Architect: Hassell

In the heart of Sydney CBD and in arguably one of the most prominent commercial office addresses in Australia, 60 Martin Place is making fast headway as the next major high rise construction in the Sydney Skyline. With the development application now approved by the City of Sydney Council, enstruct has recently issued 75% design documentation to ensure the project progresses as planned. Demolition of the existing building is scheduled to commence in early 2016.

The design of the new building respects the character of Martin Place and the adjacent St Stephen's Church with a sandstone clad low scale podium and a modern commercial tower above. The curved northern face of the building highlights St Stephen's Church below and allows for the commercial floor plate in the upper levels to extend out above the church and spire. The new Level 5 podium will allow public access and this new space will  enhance and activate Martin Place both during and after business hours.
