Darwin Progresses
Construction of all three buildings of the second stage of the Darwin City Waterfront Precinct development is now well underway. Charles Darwin University(CDU) will occupy the commercial component of the development which has topped out and the state of the art fitout for CDU is now progressing. Concrete floor slabs and load bearing blockwork walls for the parkside residential apartment building (48 apartments) have been constructed up to the roof slab and the building is now being made watertight to allow the fitting out trades to begin. The quayside residential apartment building (71 apartments) has now reached level 4 out of 8 and depending on the progress of construction through the current wet season, completion of the project is expected to be Q2 2014.
