Sussex St Ramp Complete
As part of the Wynyard Walk development TfNSW plan to upgrade the existing plaza at the intersection of Napoleon and Kent Street to "Napoleon Plaza" giving access to Barangaroo. Construction of the plaza required the service access to the Sussex Street Hotel to become part of the construction site. enstruct, engaged by TfNSW designed a new temporary concrete service access ramp from Napoleon St to the rear of the hotel. Given the proximity of the ramp to the road the ramp was designed for vehicle impact with enstruct proposing cutting edge restraint design through ground anchorage systems. The works also included realignment and signage of the revised Napoleon St traffic arrangement including a new merge lane and revisions to parking restrictions along the eastbound lane.
