On Tuesday 30 August 2011, the Prime Minister Julia Gillard opened 1 Bligh Street, Sydney. The prime minister highlighted the project as an excellent example of achieving both sustainability and commercial outcomes via intelligent design. The occasion was celebrated on the roof top plaza late into the night by the proud building owners, tenants, consultants and contractors.
