Mount St Part 3A Approval

Client: Dexus / Laing O’Rourke
Architect: SOM/Architectus

This 43 storey commercial office tower will have commanding views south towards the Sydney CBD. The development application, which was approved by the New South Wales Department for planning in May, will deliver 34,000 square metres of nett lettable area at approximately 1250 square metres per floor, as well as 1250 square metres of ground level retail. Five levels of basements will house some 130 cars.

The core has a regular form, facilitating jump forming, and will provide the building's lateral capacity. A detailed lateral analysis of the building was carried out during the preparation of the DA, in order to prove the capacity and cost of a relatively slender offset core. The core will be coupled with adjacent tower columns at the mid level plant room to enhance its lateral capacity.
