Dalcross Construction

30.06.2008
Client: Baulderstone
Architect: HPI

Construction is underway on this state of the art Hospital complex.  It will house the first Gamma Knife facility in Australia and also has three Radiotherapy bunkers situated deep in the basement of the building surrounded by concrete up to 2000mm thick.  Although the basements contain quite unusual structure the upper floors are a conventional post-tensioned banded slab system utilising permanent steel formwork. The design has also incorporated strengthening to allow for a planned future expansion including more operating theatres and patient wards. enstruct has been involved with the project from its inception assisting Baulderstone in developing detailed drawings to assist in determining a GMP prior to the awarding of the D&C contract with Baulderstone.

Completion is expected mid 2009. For more information go to www.muph.com.au
