Terminal 1, Pier C

Client: SACL
Architect: Woods Bagot
Status: In Design

Pier C is the work-hoarse of Sydney International Airport, handling the majority of passenger movements through the terminal. The pier is undergoing extensive refurbishment works on the Departures Level to improve passenger experience and upgrade retail outlets and amenities facilities. The work includes the relocation of stair and services shafts to improve site lines to gates, and new services bulkheads and fa├žade glazing to open new views and improve natural light. The project also includes a proposed extension of the pier towards the south to increase the area for passenger gate boarding areas and Lounge facilities above. This extension requires close coordination with the airside requirements as well as the project team aspirations.
